The legacy of Richard Petty and his wife, Lynda is woven throughout the hill of Randolph County, NC. In honor of Richard's 80th birthday, the Richard Petty Tribute Park is being constructed in downtown Randleman, NC. The first stage of the project, the life size bronze statue of Richard and Lynda embracing in the winner's circle after one of his big wins, was installed in April 2023. A large plaza with four of his winning cars was originally planned. Here are just a few of the images of the process and the unveiling.
